The Founder, Robert Dickey
Robert Dickey moved to Chicago in 2008 and graduated from Ball State University with a focus on property and facilities management. A licensed Real Estate Broker since 2008, Certified Association Manager since 2012, Brick Masonry Contractor since 2018, and General Contractor since 2025, Robert understands first hand the importance of delivering a well planned and performed project. Dickey Masonry provides only the most skilled and considerate craftsmen to undertake your project.

"The old saying “I know a guy” is how I feel with Dickey Masonry. Robert and his crew are first class. Professional and courteous are first two words that come to mind. Having gotten a few run arounds and just down right wrong diagnosis of the issue from other contractors, we were at our wit’s end. Robert was able to assess the issue, made midway changes, and the work was to the T from his crew. Robert took his time explaining and also given me requested quotes around the house, even with his busy schedule, he always writes back in a timely manner.
The crew left the work site spotless!

"Robert Dickey and his crew took care of our building's roof and western wall. We received 4 or 5 bids prior to choosing Dickey Masonry. Nearly all other contractor's provided us with generic packages, ranging from between 120 and 300 grand. We were beginning to despair, until Dickey cam through with a highly personalized plan that allowed us to tackle our most urgent masonry needs for much less, along with a custom roadmap for where we can go next over the course of the next 10 years.
To top things off, his team provided us with all kinds of pro bono services. They tuck-pointed our chimney/re-caulked an interior wall that didn't have any mortar/tucked a section that wasn't on the bill. Anything that was relatively easy and inexpensive for them to take care of was fixed, no strings attached.
As for working with Dickey, he's extremely passionate about masonry. He loves this stuff—lives and breathes it. One consultation, and you won't question for a second that he knows what he's doing. Each step of the project was explained with full transparency. Plus, Dickey is always available for a consultation. Pretty refreshing experience after spending years on the board chasing down contractors.
As for the crew, they were exceptionally polite and didn't leave one piece of trash in our yard after the taking down the scaffolding.
Our condo board will continue to rely on Dickey Masonry for all of our masonry needs going forward. We feel lucky to have a trustworthy and passionate expert on our side"
